For this project, I created a branding concept for a skincare brand I invented called toufu. The goal of the assignment was to design a comprehensive style guide for the brand’s logo and visual identity. The brand, toufu, focuses on wellness and minimalism, offering skincare products that provide a soft, silky feeling with a focus on neutral tones and natural beauty

I began by developing a logo that embodies the brand’s values of simplicity, elegance, and purity, using only typography. The color palette was carefully chosen, incorporating soft beige, off-white, and dark brown shades to evoke a calming and neutral feeling. The typography was selected to be clean and modern, aligning with the minimalist approach of the brand.

This guide provides a clear guideline for maintaining a cohesive and recognizable identity for toufu, reflecting the brand’s core mission of promoting wellness through simplicity.

challenges

While working on the brand guide for toufu, I had face one main challenge that was to create an engaging layout that both captured the essence of the brand, as well as the audience's attention. I wanted to create a guide that was easy to understand and read, while also being visually appealing. The minimalist brand required me to balance simplicity with visual interest, ensuring the content was presented in a clear, accessible way without feeling empty or overly spaced out.

I wanted to create a guide that shows the brand's values of simplicity, elegance, and purity, while also being visually engaging and informative. To achieve this, I did a lot of researches and took inspirations on other brand guides that had that had the same concept and design styles that I was going for. I looked any various different layouts that were both engaging and clean.
